FAQs (Quick Answers Before You Start)

What is the UMPJE, and how is it different from the MPJE? +
The UMPJE (Uniform MPJE) is a new standardized pharmacy law exam from NABP launching in April 2026. Unlike the traditional MPJE — which tests one specific state’s laws — the UMPJE tests pharmacy law principles that are common across most states, plus federal regulations. Pass it once, and it can satisfy the jurisprudence requirement in all participating states. It has 120 questions, 2.5 hours, and costs $450 ($100 app + $350 exam). Read our complete UMPJE 2026 guide →
Which states require the UMPJE in 2026? +
As of April 1, 2026: Arizona, Iowa, North Carolina, and Rhode Island require the UMPJE (state MPJEs discontinued). Ohio accepts either UMPJE or OH MPJE until October 1, 2026, then becomes UMPJE-only. Kansas accepts either until April 2027. Maryland joins June 2026 with a state-specific module. The state-specific MPJE remains available in all other states. See the full state-by-state breakdown →
Does MPJEReview prep work for the UMPJE too? +
Yes. The UMPJE tests the same federal law fundamentals and universal state pharmacy law principles that our Q-Banks and Study Guides already cover — scope of practice, controlled substances, prescription requirements, compounding, HIPAA, and more. The difference between the MPJE and UMPJE is emphasis, not content. Our Federal Law Study Guide and Q-Bank are especially relevant for UMPJE preparation. See UMPJE study tips →
What’s the fastest way to choose the right plan? +
If your biggest concern is “I don’t want to miss anything,” choose the All-Access Bundle (Q-Bank + Study Guide + Cheat Sheet). If you mainly want practice reps, start with the State Q-Bank. If you want broader coverage with federal + state drilling, pick State + Federal Q-Bank.
What exactly do I get when I purchase? +
You’ll get access to your selected resources for your chosen state (and federal, if included). Depending on the plan, that can include: State Q-Bank, Federal Q-Bank, State Study Guide, and State Cheat Sheet — all organized for MPJE-style practice and quick rule lookups.
I’m anxious and feel behind — how should I study with this? +
Start simple: do a focused set of questions daily, review explanations, and repeat the weak areas. Most confidence comes from seeing patterns — not from cramming. If you want extra reassurance, use the Study Guide to anchor the rules and the Cheat Sheet for rapid recall.
I’m transferring licenses / need multiple states — do you offer discounts? +
Yes — if you need multiple state resources (license transfer, job relocation, or multi-state planning), we offer multi-state bundle discounts on select combinations. The easiest way is to start with your primary state, then add additional states using the bundle options/discounts shown on the site (or during checkout when available).
What if I have trouble accessing my materials? +
If anything doesn’t load or you don’t see the correct access, don’t panic — it’s usually a quick fix (login, browser cache, or enrollment sync). Reach out through the support/contact option on the site and include your order email so we can help you get in fast.
